Dragon Quest XI S Enhancements Shown at Nintendo’s Treehouse

Square Enix’s Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age put in an appearance at the second day of Nintendo’s Treehouse broadcasts form E3. The hosts showed off the upcoming Switch version of Dragon Quest XI, including some of the new features such as new mounts, ultra-fast combat speed, symphonic soundtrack, Japanese voice option, outfit options, and the 2D mode that originally appeared in the Japan-only Nintendo 3DS version. 2D mode also lets players enter past Dragon Quest worlds and experience versions of certain chapters from past games.

Dragon Quest XI was originally released for PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe in 2018, winning RPGamerā€™s 2018 Game of the Year Award. Dragon Quest XI S will be released on Nintendo Switch on September 27, 2019.
