Atlus Announces Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers
After it used the first day for its reveal of Persona 5 Royal, Atlus used the second day of the two-day Persona Super Live 2019 concert event to reveal Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers. The game is being created by Atlus alongside Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force studio, known for its Dynasty Warriors series as well as other spin-offs such as Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors.
Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is being developed for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. No release date or additional details outside of the platforms have been announced.
Every time I see a new Persona game, my heart grows warm because this could have easily been a franchise that only Japan received, and I’m glad it really drummed up interest here in the west. I will also mention that I have bought every single “Warriors” game that KT has worked on with other franchises I adore (Hyrule Warriors twice, FE:W), and this will be no different. I am hoping with everything we see a western release.
ZOMG…Take. My. MONEY!!! I was playing Hyrule Warriors today before reading this. I love these mash ups!!!
Exactly! I’ve played maybe 2 Zelda games ever so Hyrule Warriors is only somewhat calling me, but Persona!? Yes! Time to depopulate the Jack Frost community hundreds of them at a time!!
That’s something I love about these Warriors mashups: you only have to be partially invested in the franchise to enjoy it fully, but when you love the series? This is fan service done right.
Agreed. I’d barely taken notice of them, then I sunk 100 hours into each Dragon Quest Heroes title!
