SpellForce III To Get Expansion with Dwarves and Dark Elves

THQ Nordic has announced a new expansion for SpellForce III. Titled Soul Harvest, this standalone expansion will add in two new races, the Dwarves and the Dark Elves, alongside a new twenty-hour campaign. Additionally, all five races will now receive flying units and new game modes will be available.

Three years after the Purity Wars, the player, a disgraced general, is called backed to the kingdom of Nortander to assist on two fronts, the Dwarves are being torn apart by a hatemonger, while a cult of Dark Elves are harvesting people’s souls for nefarious reasons. Players will work to achieve this with SpellForce III‘s mixture of RPG/RTS gameplay, with redesigned RTS mechanics from the base game and new, unique traits for each race that give greater diversity.

SpellForce III: Soul Harvest is set to release on PC in the second quarter of 2019. The expansion will be a standalone title, with THQ Nordic planning to announce a discounted option for those who already own SpellForce III sometime in the future.
