SpellForce III: Fallen God Expansion Announced

THQ Nordic and Grimlore Games have unveiled SpellForce III: Fallen God, a new standalone expansion to the RTS/RPG hybrid SpellForce III. The expansion introduces a new playable faction, the Trolls, with players controlling them in a new 15-hour campaign. The campaign sees the Moonkin trolls and their chieftain Akrog setting out in search of a new god as the current ones have abandoned them.

Fallen God’s campaign takes place on the new continent of Urgath, and will introduce new weapon-salvaging and character-shaping mechanics. It will also include multiple endings. The expansion will also add ranked matches to multiplayer using a Elo-based rating system with six factions available to choose from: Humans, Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Dark Elves, and Trolls. It will also include full Steam Workshop support as well as modding tools that will let players create their own maps.

SpellForce III is currently available on PC. A previous expansion, SpellForce III: Soul Harvest, was released in 2019 and added the Dwarves and Dark Elves. A release date has not yet been announced for SpellForce III: Fallen God.
