Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet’s Second DLC Expansion Released

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet‘s second piece of major DLC, Betrayal of Comrades, is now available in North America and Europe. The DLC features the second of a planned three-part story arc, following on from the Ambush of the Imposters DLC released in April 2018, with the third part — Collapse of Balance — set for later this year. Betrayal of Comrades is available for $9.99, or as part of the $24.99 season pass.

Betrayal of Comrades adds two new characters — Clarence and Shirley from Alternative Gun Gale Online — various new quests, and customisation options, as well as unlocking a new area for the player’s apartment. In addition, a free update adds a new Free-for-All game mode to all players (including those who do not own the DLC) that pits up to eight players against each other. Players compete to achieve the highest score, earning points for kills and losing points for deaths.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is developed by a new studio for the series, DIMPS, and focuses on third-person shooting as opposed to the melee combat of previous titles. The game was released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 23, 2018.
