ForwardWorks Announces Arc the Lad R

ForwardWorks, a division of Sony dedicated to creating mobile titles, has officially announced Arc the Lad R. Initially revealed in December 2017, Arc the Lad R is a reboot/sequel for the tactical RPG series, set ten years after the events of Arc the Lad II.

Arc the Lad R follows Haruto, a young boy who is part of a vigilante corps who meets a mysterious girl named Mizuha. Meanwhile, the empire of Ardia is rebuilding and gathering momentum, but the same goes for the world’s monsters and a new threat — the Divine Beasts — emerges.

Development on Arc the Lad R is being led by series creator Toshiro Tsuchida, with Norihiko Yonesaka also returning to write the scenario. No release date has been announced, but pre-registration is open in Japan.
