Mobile Title Arc the Lad R Getting International Release

Boltrend Games announced that it will be releasing ForwardWorks’ Arc the Lad R internationally. The free-to-play iOS and Android title — with in-app transactions — does not yet have a release date, but a beta will run from 6:00 p.m. PST on November 19, 2020, to 23:59 p.m. PST on November 29, 2020.

Arc the Lad R is a reboot/sequel for the tactical RPG series, set ten years after the events of Arc the Lad II and launched in Japan in 2018. The game follows Haruto, a young boy who is part of a vigilante corps and meets a mysterious girl named Mizuha. Meanwhile, the empire of Ardia is rebuilding and gathering momentum, but the same goes for the world’s monsters and a new threat — the Divine Beasts — emerges. Series creator Toshiro Tsuchida was involved in the game’s creation, with Norihiko Yonesaka also returning to write the scenario.
