Octopath Traveler Developers Reveal Some Extra Tidbits

In an interview with Dengeki Online, producer Masashi Takahashi and director Keisuke Miyauchi revealed a few extra details about the upcoming Nintendo Switch title Octopath Traveler. The developers revealed that the game had been planned for Nintendo Switch from the start, and the main story should take around fifty hours to complete, though completing all the side-content may cause the game time to run past eighty to a hundred hours. Octopath Traveler will also not feature a new game plus mode, with the difficulty dynamically changing depending on what order players progress through things. It will be possible, if challenging, to complete the game with just a single character, and no DLC was planned for the game during its development.

Octopath Traveler is planned for release on Nintendo Switch on July 13, 2018. A new prologue demo was released last week, with Nintendo’s Treehouse Live featuring the game during its E3 showcases.
