Second Destiny 2 Expansion Announced

Bungie and Activision have announced the second expansion to their online FPS-RPG Destiny 2. The expansion is titled Warmind and introduces a new location to the game: Hellas Basin on the pole of Mars.

Warmind‘s story focuses on Guardian Ana Bray, who had disappeared and was thought lost. She is looking for a connection to her past and it appears one may be found beneath the frozen pole of the red planet. However, after satellites slam to the surface, melting the ice caps, what is revealed is an ancient Hive army and the core of the Warmind Rasputin.

In addition to the new story content, Warmind will include various new areas including frozen glaciers, rocky caverns, and Hive-infested caves. The expansion includes a new Raid Lair, as well as a wave-based endgame challenge called Escalation Protocol, and various new weapons, armor, and gear. Those on PlayStation 4 will also receive access to a timed exclusive Strike called The Insight Terminus.

Warmind is set to be released on May 18, 2018. Like the base game, the expansion will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
