Death end re;Quest Trailer Marks Imminent Japanese Release

Compile Heart has released a new pre-launch trailer for Death end re;Quest ahead of the game’s launch in Japan, with the game releasing for PlayStation 4 on April 12, 2018 following a month-long delay. The three-minute video introduces the major characters and gives some brief snippets of the gameplay systems.

Death end re;Quest follows two main protagonists, Shina Ninomiya and Arata Mizunashi, both employees of the developer behind fictional VRMMORPG World’s Odyssey. Though the VRMMORPG is cancelled, Shina finds herself trapped within the game, while Arata attempts to rescue her from outside in the city of Sagami. No announcement has been made regarding a western release for the game.
