The Ascent Switch 2 Version Gets Pre-Order Trailer

Neon Giant released a new trailer for its upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 version of action RPG The Ascent. The minute-long video marks the start of digital pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 Ultimate Edition, which releases on December 2, 2026. It is available to pre-order with a 10% discount on its regular $29.99 price.

Currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, The Ascent is set in a corporation-run arcology following the collapse of the Ascent Group that owned the city and all of its denizens. This causes the automated security to run haywire, while other corporations and gangs look to assert control. Players investigate exactly what happened, ascending the arcology while improving their character’s skills and picking up loot. The Ultimate Edition will include the base game and all DLC, and come with support for local GameShare and Joy-Con 2 mouse controls.
