Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Switch 2 Trailer Highlights New Content

Nintendo released a new trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The new trailer — coming alongside a new set of screenshots below — highlights the new Heroes’ Vault mode, where players take on waves of enemies while enhancing their abilities or gaining additional allies. It also introduces the Switch 2 version’s new hero, Shimmer. She is an Attacker who uses quick combos, powerful strikes, and the Foresight ability. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will release both digitally and physically on December 3, 2026, with owners of the Nintendo Switch version able to purchase an upgrade pack for $9.99.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is set in the world of Aionios, which connects the futures of the settings of Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It follows protagonists Noah and Mio as they navigate the hostilities between the nations of Keves and Agnus. Noah is a soldier from Keves, while Mio is a soldier from Agnus, both of whom are joined by allies from their side.
