Aether & Iron Coming to Consoles

Seismic Squirrel announced that it is bringing its decopunk narrative RPG Aether & Iron to consoles. The game, which released on PC and Mac earlier this year, will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in 2027. In addition, the developer announced a new free content update for the game. The update will release tomorrow, September 14, 2026, and add two new side quests, one focusing on Gia and Benny’s relationship and the other revealing more about the aether technology in the game.

Aether & Iron is currently available through Steam. The game puts players in the role of Gia, a smuggler in an alternate 1930s New York. The city has been transformed after the discovery of an anti-gravitational technology called aether. As they become drawn into a deep conspiracy, players must build a crew while upgrading their car to be outfitted to survive turn-based vehicular battles.
