Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1 Update Releasing Later This Month
HoYoverse announced that its Version 3.1 update for free-to-play action RPG Zenless Zone Zero will release on July 29, 2026. The update, titled “The Long Goodbye”, sees New Eridu’s faction representatives head to the sky island of Roscaelifer as the Proxies reunite with old friend Truvia, as well as meet the Airspace Patrol Department’s Administrative Director Lindverne Sunbringer and Deputy Director Sigrid. Meanwhile, Remielle Dan returns as a powerful entity comes into the story’s focus.
The update will add both Remielle Dan and Sigrid as playable characters to the game. Remielle Dan is an S-Rank Lumiflux Anomaly Agent, the first Lumiflux attribute Agent in the game, and will be available throughout the update. Sigrid is an S-Rank Ice Attack Agent and will be available in the update’s second half. Character reruns will see S-Rank Ether Anomaly Agent Aria returning in the first half, with an Exclusive Rescreening channel for S-Rank Agents Dialyn, Ukinami Yuzuha, and Asaba Harumasa featuring in the second half. The update will also add S-Rank Bangboo Ariel.
Version 3.1 will bring a new permanent game mode called “Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel”. It sees players venture into the Hollow to rescue Eous. During the operation, they enter stages to gain loot before evacuating within the time limit. Those supplies can then be used to upgrade their research station infrastructure, with the mode including a seasonal update cycle. There will also be a limited-time “Summer Waves Roll In” event, involving beachcombing and souvenir shop management. Completing the event will grant players Lucy’s summer outfit, with outfits for Vivian, Sigrid, and Remielle Dan also available to purchase.
Zenless Zone Zero is an action RPG set in the post-apocalyptic metropolitan city of New Eridu and is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android. The city is the only place to have survived a supernatural disaster in which gateways to perilous dimensions called Hollows appear and expand. Players control Proxies, who guide others exploring the Hollows.
