Valor Mortis Shifts to October

Lyrical Games announced that it has pushed back the recently-revealed release date for action RPG Valor Mortis. Initially announced for September 24, 2026, the game will now release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 13, 2026. The developer provided the following message regarding the delay:

Greetings Soldiers,

September has become absolutely stacked with incredible looking games. We knew this was a possibility, but when you’re in a Partner Showcase as we were, dates get locked weeks in advance.

We want to give Valor Mortis (and your wallet) some room to breathe.

Therefore, we’ve decided to move our release date to October 13th.

In the meantime, we just launched our Demo on Steam and have been getting loads of feedback. This new date also gives us even more time to improve the game. Try it out, let us know what you think, and we’ll see you in October!

Valor Mortis takes place in a 19th-century alternate Europe, where an unknown substance called Nephtoglobin turns fallen soldiers into abominations. The game follows a French soldier named William, who is brought back to life and given supernatural abilities by the substance. The game is billed as taking inspiration from the Ghostrunner series and combining brutal, methodical combat, Metroidvania-inspired levels, and a narrative shrouded in horror and conspiracy. A demo is currently available on Steam.
