Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Receives Making of Video

Square Enix released a new “making of” behind-the-scenes video for Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. The ten-minute video features Producer Takeshi Ichikawa, Director Masato Yagi, and Scenario Writer Sayaka Takagi, who discuss the creation of the remake of Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past, which released for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 in February.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined features a diorama-style aesthetic, as well as additional content, features, and quality-of-life improvements over the original 2000 title. The game starts on Estard Island, an idyllic kingdom in a world with no other apparent landmasses. However, a group of childhood friends uncovers a way to travel back to the past, when other continents existed, and are able to restore them in the present. Those looking to read more about the game can check out Ryan Costa’s review of its PlayStation 5 version.
