Blightstone Coming to Steam Early Access in January
Developer Unfinished Pixel announced that its turn-based dark fantasy roguelite Blightstone will release on Steam Early Access on January 20, 2026. The Early Access version will be available for $15.99/€12.99, with a 20% launch discount for the first two weeks. It is no yet known how long the game is expected to spend in Early Access.
Blightstone tasks players with protecting the Earthglass Crystal as they deliver it to the Infernal Rift in order to destroy the demon overlord Korghul and the eponymous Blightstone. The game features a procedurally-generated adventure with players recruiting heroes from the Brawler, Hunter, Arcanist, Druid and Priest classes, each of which comes with unique abilities and companions. During the adventure players need to scavenge resources to be able to rest and heal each night.
The game’s combat system features free movement and strategic cover, with players also able to make use of the environment and weather, such as hiding in or burning long grass or using water to amplify electric attacks. Players have access to a large selection of active and passive combat skills covering melee, ranged, area of effect, and grappling, with a variety of status effects also present to take advantage and beware of.
