Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Trailer Shows Female Protagonist Option

Capcom released new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the latest title in its Monster Hunter Stories spin-off series. The three-minute video is the same as a previous trailer but showcases a female protagonist instead of the previous male protagonist option. The game will also allow players to customise their appearance, including hair style, eye colour, and more. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will release on March 13, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Like previous entries, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection puts players in the role of a Monster Rider, someone who partners up with and raises monsters. The game’s setting features two major nations, Azuria and Vermeil, which are facing a crystal encroachment that is destroying the environment. Meanwhile, the twin Skyscale Rathalos hatch, which is a supposed portent of destruction from a civil war 200 years ago. Players control the heir to Azuria, who sets out to investigate the phenomena impacting the world, joined by Eleanor, the princess of Vermeil, who offers to act as a hostage.
