Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate Getting New Free, Paid Content Next Week
Super Evil Megacorp announced a new free update and paid DLC for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, both of which will release on September 30, 2025. The Metalhead DLC will add Metalhead as a new playable character. Metalhead brings a new play style, armed with a laser gun, explosive landmines, and tactical abilities.
In addition, the free update will add new story content where players must enter a new realm to stop a rift accidentally created by Metalhead from consuming New York City, which is connected to the new Arcade Mode. Arcade Mode is billed as being fast-paced and unpredictable, making use of a new Hex and Flex system. During level breaks, players select one of three options, which can both empower them with advantages and weaken them with separate drawbacks. The Arcade Mode is designed for quick sessions and includes new biomes and new enemies. Other inclusions in the free update include a new Robotics Turtle Power tree, drone tools, and a new artifact. The update also includes additional visual upgrades, balancing adjustments, bug fixes, and quality-of-life upgrades.
The release of the DLC will be accompanied by the first physical release for the game, with its Deluxe Edition launching on September 30, 2025 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. It will be followed by the Pipin’ Hot Collector’s Edition, which releases on October 24, 2025. Both editions are available from selected retailers.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate originally released on Apple Arcade in 2023, with a Nintendo Switch version released in July 2024, a PC version following in November 2024, and PlayStation and Xbox console versions released earlier this year. The game features four-player co-op as the turtles set out to rescue Splinter from the clutches of the Foot Clan, travelling to various locales through mysterious portals.
