Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 3 Gets Media, Details
Capcom provided more media and details for Monster Hunter Wilds‘s free Title Update 3 ahead of its release on September 29, 2025. The update’s content includes the game’s collaboration crossover with MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV.
The collaboration sees players partnering with visitors from Eorzea to take on Omega Planetes. The fight includes mechanics brought in from Final Fantasy XIV. It also allows players to utilise two Final Fantasy XIV Jobs: Dark Knight and Pictomancer. Dark Knight lets players use the power of darkness for techniques with a two-handed sword, while Pictomancer lets players bring art to life to defeat foes. The collaboration also adds new gear, including for Palico and Seikret companions, as well as other rewards such as a pendant and gesture.
Title Update 3 also adds the Arch-tempered Nu Udra as a permanent Event Quest, which includes exclusive crafting materials. Other content includes new quests with rarity 8 Artian materials, a limited-time Seregios Challenge Quest, and an Arch-tempered Nu Udra Free Challenge Quest. It will also bring the Festival of Accord: Dreamspell to the Grand Hub. It will release alongside free nostalgic gesture DLC, the paid Cosmetic DLC Pack 3, and other paid DLC. Title Update 4 is planned to release in December, and will include Gogmazios plus new end-game content.
Monster Hunter Wilds sees players joining the special Research Commission as it explores the Forbidden Lands and learns of the threat called the White Wraith, long thought extinct. In addition to including seamless transitions from story sequences into gameplay, the game adds new Seikret mounts, which can guide the riders to planned destinations and let them perform actions while riding, such as sharpening weapons and gathering materials, while also allowing players to swap to a secondary weapon without needing to return to base.
