Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 Launching June 30
Capcom announced that Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds will release on June 30, 2025. The free update will add two new monsters to the game — the Leviathan Lagiacrus, which first appeared in Monster Hunter 3, and the Wyvern Seregios, which debuted in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate — as well as their associated armour sets. Hunts with Lagiacrus incorporate new underwater actions, while Seregios has received upgrades for its appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Once players complete the initial main missions involving them, they will appear as 8-star Tempered monsters for hunters at HR41 and above. In addition, Arch-tempered Uth Duna will also appear in a limited-time Event Quest and a Free Challenge Quest from July 30, 2025. It will reward players with new Uth Duna γ and Felyne Uth Duna γ armour sets.
In addition, if players have crafted the final weapon in a tree, Rarity 8 Artian Weapons, and High-Rank Palico Weapons, Title Update 2 will allow players to unlock them as Layered Weapons. These can then be used the new photo mode included in the update. The photo mode will include options such as brightness settings, filter effects, and the ability to hide specified characters. The update also allows Erik to fill in for Alma as a potential Handler for players, while the Vespae Unit’s Mina can act as a Support Hunter, wielding a sword and shield. Players will be able to select which handler and support hunters they are accompanied by.
In other content, a new seasonal event will start on July 23, 2025. The Festival of Accord: Flamefete will include new limited-time Grand Hub decorations, meals, limited-time equipment, gestures, and more. Meanwhile, the Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster, created by Fender to celebrate the series’ twentieth anniversary, will be available in-game as a special gesture unlockable from August 27, 2025, in a limited-time Event Quest. Additional free and paid cosmetic DLC will also be available released alongside Title Update 2.
Monster Hunter Wilds sees players joining the special Research Commission as it explores the Forbidden Lands and learns of the threat called the White Wraith, long thought extinct. In addition to including seamless transitions from story sequences into gameplay, the game adds new Seikret mounts, which can guide the riders to planned destinations and let them perform actions while riding, such as sharpening weapons and gathering materials, while also allowing players to swap to a secondary weapon without needing to return to base.
