Mado Monogatari: Fia and the Wondrous Academy Gets Gameplay Trailer, Physical Pre-Order Details

Idea Factory International released a new trailer for Compile Heart and Sting’s dungeon-crawler Mado Monogatari: Fia and the Wondrous Academy. The “Game System Trailer” gives a quick look at the game’s school life events, as well as its adventure sections where players must overcome various gimmicks and foes, ahead of the game’s release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on July 29, 2025.

In addition, the publisher announced that physical Standard and Limited Edition pre-orders for the game will open on the Idea Factory International stores in North America and Europe on June 12, 2025. The Standard Edition is priced at $49.99/£44.99/€49.99, while the Limited Edition is priced at $92.99/£84.99/€92.99. Standard Edition pre-orders are also either currently available or will begin soon through other selected retailers.

Mado Monogatari: Fia and the Wondrous Academy is the latest entry in the Mado Monogatari dungeon-crawler franchise that started in 1990, with the previous title being released in the west as Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God in 2013. It follows a girl named Fia, who has managed to enroll at the Ancient Magic Academy after making the long journey from her hometown. She aims to become a Great Mage but first must overcome the challenges of her schoolwork, professors, and certain odd happenings while trying to make friends.
