Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be released on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console. A release date for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game, which is the first part in a planned trilogy, has not yet been announced.

Final Fantasy VII Remake originally released for PlayStation 4 in 2020. Intergrade is an upgraded version released for PlayStation 5 and PC in 2021. It includes Final Fantasy VII Remake Episode Intermission, an additional story chapter featuring Yuffie Kisaragi. The second part of the planned trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, released in 2024.
