Moondrift Memory Announced, Kickstarter Campaign Planned

Developer Streetlight Studio announced cRPG Moondrift Memory. The title is billed as taking inspiration from the tabletop RPG Pathfinder, with voice actor Sean Schemmel (Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Daima, Pokémon) and writer Tan Shao Han (Pathfinder: Secrets of Magic, Pathfinder: Impossible Lands, Pathfinder Adventure Path: Let the Leaves Fall) taking part in the game’s development. The game’s first chapter will undergo a Kickstarter campaign set to begin on March 18, 2025.

Moondrift Memory is a top-down isometric cRPG. Its first chapter sees the player leading a party of up to four characters that sets out to explore a dragon’s lair located in the harsh valley of Moondrift. Its combat, exploration, downtime, and social encounters are said to be similar to the core mechanics of Pathfinder Second Edition. The game will include a character builder that lets players create their own party members with options such as ancestry, background, class, feats, and abilities. The created characters can be exported as PDFs or Foundry JSON files to use in other Pathfinder experiences.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
