Hyper Light Breaker Reveals Early Access Breakers and Crowns

Arc Games and Heart Machine released a new trailer and screenshots ahead of next week’s Steam Early Access launch for Hyper Light Breaker. The video and images show the three Breakers — Vermillion, Lapis, and Goro — that players will be able to control, as well as two Crowns (bosses), Dro and Exus, that they can face off against in the initial Early Access release. Each Breaker comes with their own distinct Sycom companions, which act as a foundation for their build, though players can customise their own loadouts.

In addition, the companies announced that a special bundle will be available from January 14-28, 2025. This $29.99 bundle will let players purchase the Early Access version of Hyper Light Breaker and receive a free copy of Heart Machine’s previous title Hyper Light Drifter.

Hyper Light Breaker is set in the same universe as Hyper Light Drifter but tells a separate story in a new land known as the Overgrowth. It features single-player and co-op multiplayer as players control Breakers looking to overthrow the Abyss King. While surviving the mysterious Crowns and helping develop their home settlement, players explore large biomes and pick up items and weapons to create their character builds.
