Dragonkin: The Banished Introduces Its Heroes
Publisher NACON and developer Eko Software revealed a new trailer for hack-and-slash RPG Dragonkin: The Banished. The two-minute-long video showcases the three heroes that will be available in the game’s Early Access version: Lothair de Montdragon, Electrane, and Rurik Haraldson.
Lothair de Montdragon, a knight of the Order of the Eternal, aims to free humanity from draconic corruption. He is a spear wielder and defensive fighter proficient with fire abilities. Electrane is an apprentice Oracle, who shares a special connection with dragonets and Dragonbloods. She specialises in long-range combat thanks to her draconic and electrical spells. Rurik Haraldson counts among the finest warriors in the Nordic lands. He is a melee fighter that owes his superhuman strength and ice powers to the ingestion of White Dragon blood and the initiation rite of the barbarians.
Dragonkin: The Banished is set in a world corrupted by the blood of dragons. Players control a legendary hero who hunts down evil creatures that rise from the earth, eventually aiming to eliminate the Dragon Lords at the centre of things. As players progress, their character, equipment, and wyrmling will evolve. The Ancestral Grid allows players to obtain skills and place them in the grid to gain modifiers. Players’ actions will also impact the large city that acts as humanity’s last bastion, giving them access to various facilities. Dragonkin: The Banished will come to Steam Early Access on March 6, 2025, with a full release planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S later this year.
