Dragonkin: The Banished Early Access Roadmap Unveiled
Eko Software and NACON have unveiled planned updates for the upcoming Early Access version of hack-and-slash RPG Dragonkin: The Banished. The Early Access version will launch with the game’s prologue and first chapter, with three heroes: Knight, Oracle, and Barbarian. It will also include four Wyrmlings that act as allies fighting against foes, alongside the Ancestral Grid skill system, a hunting board endgame content, and initial features for the upgradable city hub. A demo for the game is available from now until March 3, 2025, as part of the latest Steam Next Fest.
Future updates are planned throughout the year. Spring updates will include new skills, additional endgame content, a new endgame activity, and more city features. Summer updates will feature a new hero, additional skills, and more endgame content and city features. Finally, autumn will see the addition of multiplayer features, plus more skills and city features.
Dragonkin: The Banished is set in a world corrupted by the blood of dragons. Players control a legendary hero who hunts down evil creatures that rise from the earth, eventually aiming to eliminate the Dragon Lords at the centre of things. As players progress, their character, equipment, and wyrmling will evolve. The Ancestral Grid allows players to obtain skills and place them in the grid to gain modifiers. Dragonkin: The Banished will release on Steam Early Access on March 6, 2025, with the full game planned to be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
