Penny Blood: Hellbound Fully Released

Natsume-Atari and Studio Wildrose have fully released Penny Blood: Hellbound. The hack-and-slash roguelike is available for PC via Steam, priced at $19.99 with a 20% launch discount. The game acts as a prequel to Yukikaze’s Penny Blood, a spiritual successor to the Shadow Hearts series. It had been in Early Access since March 2024.

Penny Blood: Hellbound features a 1920s gothic horror setting with art by Miyako Kato and a soundtrack by Yoshitaka Hirota and Noriyuki Iwadare. It puts players in control of the Hellhounders as they aim to escape the otherwordly prison of Mictlan, run by the Celestial Rainbow gang. There are six playable characters, each with their own set of attacks, weapons, and skills, with the game including online co-op.
