Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released in the last week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development. Pricing is shown in US dollars before application of any discounts, local pricing may vary.


Asdivine Hearts II & Alvastia Chronicles

Asdivine Hearts II and Alvastia Chronicles are both turn-based retro-styled RPGs. Asdivine Hearts II is a sequel set two years after Asdivine Hearts and sees Zack and friends set out to save the parallel world of Archelio, which is in danger of being encased in ice. Meanwhile, Alvastia Chronicles sees Elmia and her brother Alan set out to avenge their parents’ deaths. On their journey, they can encounter over 100 potential companions, with the ability to use up to thirteen party members at a time.


Flint: Treasure of Oblivion

Tactical RPG Flint: Treasure of Oblivion is set during the golden age of piracy, incorporating historical language, costumes, and weapons. It follows Captain Flint, his second-in-command Billy Bones, and their crew on their search for a legendary treasure, taking them from the French city of Saint-Malo to Central America. The game features comic book-style narration, with tactical turn-based combat where players can make use of their crew members’ unique abilities.

Tactical RPG Glorious Companions takes place in the open world of Navaroth. Players can choose one of two campaigns as they look to guide their team of companions on a quest to collect all the vault crystals and end Xandar’s Wrath. The game also includes online and local PvP wargame battles. It had been in Early Access since 2019.


Penny Blood: Hellbound

Hack-and-slash roguelike Penny Blood: Hellbound acts as a prequel to Yukikaze’s Penny Blood, a spiritual successor to the Shadow Hearts series. The game features a 1920s gothic horror setting with art by Miyako Kato and a soundtrack by Yoshitaka Hirota and Noriyuki Iwadare. It puts players in control of the Hellhounders as they aim to escape the otherwordly prison of Mictlan, run by the Celestial Rainbow gang. There are six playable characters, each with their own set of attacks, weapons, and skills. The game includes online co-op.


Tokyo Clanpool

Dungeon-crawler Tokyo Clanpool is set in a near future Tokyo where the government has collapsed after the appearance of a massive tower that connects the Diet building with Reverse City in the sky. The game follows newly inaugurated Prime Minister Natsume Kannuki as she commands her Diet Dolls in battle against monsters threatening the people of Tokyo. Physical Nintendo Switch editions are available through Playasia, with the digital Nintendo Switch version to release at a later date.
