Touhou Spell Carnival Showcases Its Gameplay

Publisher Idea Factory International released a new trailer and screenshots for Compile Heart and Sting co-developed title Touhou Spell Carnival. The video features a gameplay overview of the strategy RPG, which will launch physically and digitally on November 19, 2024, in North America for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The game will release digitally in Europe the same day on the same platforms, with a European physical release planned for December 3, 2024.

Touhou Spell Carnival is a tactical RPG that takes place in the Touhou series’ regular setting of Gensokyo, a land isolated from the outside world where humans and yokai reside. The game sees shrine maiden Reimu Hakurei drawn into a festival to battle for shrine cards and discover the purpose behind mysterious pillars that have appeared across the land. It features bullet hell elements within its gameplay.
