Kingdom of Night Shows Its Gameplay

DANGEN Entertainment and Black Seven Studios released a new trailer for action RPG Kingdom of Night. The minute-long video starts with the summoning of the main antagonist Baphomet and shows protagonist John fighting different demons and managing his inventory and skill tree.

Kingdom of Night takes place in 198X, in the town of Watford, Arizona. A satanic cult has summoned the demon Baphomet, and it’s up to unlikely protagonist John to try and save the town and rescue his friends from the impending demonic invasion. The game is an ’80s-themed isometric action RPG that has John battling enemies from high school thugs to demon lords. Players will be able to choose John’s class, with each class having its own unique talent tree.

Kingdom of Night underwent a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2019. The game was originally announced for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, though only the PC and Mac version is noted in the trailer. A release date has not been announced.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
