Honkai: Star Rail Finishes Penacony Adventure in December
HoYoverse announced that its Version 2.7 update for Honkai: Star Rail will release on December 4, 2024. The update, titled “A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn”, will mark the final part of the game’s storyline in Penacony before players set course to the new realm of Amphoreus, the Eternal Land.
The Version 2.7 update will add two new playable characters: Sunday and Fugue. Sunday is a 5-star Imaginary character with unique support skills, who looks to embark on a journey after giving one final memorable performance in Penacony. Meanwhile, Fugue is a 5-star Fire character related to previous character Tingyun who is able to reduce enemy toughness. Limited 5-star characters General Jing Yuan and Firefly will also return during the update’s warp event. Other additions include a new Party Car in the Astral Express where players can spend time with the crew, as well as event to decorate the player’s personal quarters.
Honkai: Star Rail tells its own standalone story in the Honkai universe and is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android. The setting features Aeons, incarnations of universal principles that can freely travel between its worlds and apply their principles to them. Players embark on a journey on the Astral Express along with other passengers looking to explore the universe and find out its secrets.
