Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.1 Arriving November 12

During the latest Letter from the Producer Presentation for MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix announced that its first major update following the release of Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail will arrive on November 12, 2024. The presentation came with a new trailer for Patch 7.1 update, titled “Crossroads”, as well as a look at the first part of the “Echoes of Vana’diel” Final Fantasy XI crossover Alliance Raid series. The full update, plus some subsequent smaller updates, includes:

  • New Main Scenario Quests following on from the conclusion of Dawntrail
  • A new dungeon, Yuweyawata Field Station
  • The first part of the Final Fantasy XI crossover Echoes of Vana’diel 24-player Alliance Raid series
  • A new Minstrel’s Ballad Trial
  • A new level-100 Unreal Trial, the Jade Stoa (Unreal)
  • A new high-difficult Chaotic Alliance Raid, the Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) (arriving one week after Patch 7.15)
  • A new Ultimate Raid, Futures Rewritten (Ultimate) (arriving with Patch 7.11
  • New Allied Society Quests for the Pelupelu
  • A new role quest story available to those who have completed all existing Dawntrail role quests
  • A new Wachumeqimeqi story for those who have completed its associated quests
  • The start of a new Hildibrand Quest Series, Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures
  • New Game+ support for Patch 7.0 content
  • Addition of non-Main Scenario dungeon Halatali to the Duty Support system
  • The ability for players to use interior designs from other residential areas in their housing, plus additional interior designs
  • Various other updates

Taking place after the events of Endwalker, and marking the start of a major new story arc for the game, Dawntrail sees the Warrior of Light’s help requested for Tural’s contested rite of succession. The expansion adds two new Jobs: melee DPS role Viper and ranged DPS role Pictomancer. It also includes a new level cap of 100, new dungeons, new locations, new side content, and more.
