Dragon’s Dogma 2 Gets Casual Mode

Capcom released a new update for action RPG Dragon’s Dogma 2. This update comes with many changes and additions, including a Casual Mode that offers changes and features to lower the game’s difficulty over its regular mode. The Casual Mode features reduced prices for certain services and items, Pawns recovering from dragonsplague without a “devastating calamity” occurring, and more. It can be selected mid-game from the Game Settings section in the menu. However, those already playing in Casual Mode cannot switch to the regular difficulty setting for their current playthrough. The full details pertaining to the update can be found here.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 takes place in a parallel world to the original Dragon’s Dogma and Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Players control a customised character known as the Arisen, a champion whose heart has been stolen by the Dragon, and are joined by up to three NPC Pawn allies. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is currently available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
