Dragon’s Dogma 2 Gets More Footage

During its recent showcase presentation, Capcom shared more footage and details for action RPG Dragon’s Dogma 2. The footage is introduced by director Hideaki Itsuno, who discusses the game’s Pawn system and its world, which is said to be four times the size of the original Dragon’s Dogmas world.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a follow-up to 2012’s Dragon’s Dogma — which later received an expanded version titled Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen — and is in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A release window has not yet been announced.

The game sees players joined by up to three otherwordly beings called Pawns. One of these is the “main Pawn”, customisable by the player, who can be recruited by other players to use their abilities and knowledge. The game’s combat and engine make heavy use of physics and companion AI, with players able to utilise different vocations and abilities covering melee and ranged weapons as well as magic. Players can also form relationships with other characters that will be reflected in certain story moments.
