Card-en-Ciel Demo Now Available
Inti Creates released a demo for its roguelite deckbuilding RPG Card-en-Ciel. The demo is available to download for PC via Steam and lets players access three dungeons from the main game, with around 100 cards available to use. Players will be able to transfer save data from the demo to the full game when it launches next month. The demo will also be coming to Nintendo Switch tomorrow, September 5, 2024.
In addition, Inti Creates revealed one of the in-game “universes” appearing in Card-en-Ciel. “President Ex Machina” is a high-speed robot action game that sees the 55th President of the Star States, Edgar Barron, transplanted into a female cyborg body. Each of these universes has its own theme songs, combat themes, and ending tracks that are used in Card-en-Ciel. An introduction to the universe, including its theme song “Glory to Me”, can be viewed below.
Card-en-CielĀ follows Neon, a gaming detective, as characters from other universes unexpectedly show up in a different work-in-progress. Gameplay sees players clearing out rooms in dungeons by collecting and battling with deck built up from over 300 character cards, attempting to get the boss at the end. Each room cleared grants a choice of reward, with players also earning scores and rewards when they complete the dungeon. The game is set to be released digitally for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on October 24, 2024.
