Playdigious Originals Publishing Crown Gambit

Playdigious Originals announced it is partnering with developer Wild Wits for the release of narrative card-based RPG Crown Gambit. The game is planned to release for PC via Steam in 2025.

Crown Gambit is set in a dark fantasy world inspired by Celtic and Breton folklore, featuring illustrations from French artist Gobert. It follows three paladins — Aliza the swashbuckler, Hael the cleric, and Rollo the tanker — as they back one of the pretenders to the throne to overcome the political turmoil in the kingdom of Meodred. The trio will have to make tough choices and choose their allies carefully.

Combat sees each of the paladins having their own deck that players will use to overcome obstacles and foes. In addition to wielding their individual relic weapons, the paladins also have access to an ancient power called Ancestral Grace that can turn the tide of battle. However, the price for using this is said to be very steep.
