Latest Metaphor: ReFantazio Showcase Highlights Its World

Atlus held its latest “Exclusive Showcase” presentation for Metaphor: ReFantazio. The latest video, once again hosted by director Katsura Hashino, highlights the locations around the game’s setting of the United Kingdom of Euchronia. After giving a reminder of the game’s premise, the video includes looks at the old castle town of Martira, how players can get between locations and actions available on the Gauntlet Runner, quest dungeons, Port Brilehaven, travel routines, and Virga Island.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is created by the team behind the Persona series and will release worldwide on October 11, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It is set in the United Kingdom of Euchronia, which is made up of three constituent countries populated by eight different tribes. The game’s protagonist — accompanied by the fairy Gallica — is in the capital for the king’s funeral following his assassination, on a mission to save the crown prince from his current curse. However, in order to fill the power vacuum, a special spell is cast that announces a tournament for the throne, where the person who has earned the most faith of the citizens as of the October Day of the Hero will be granted the throne.
