Dungeonborne Early Access Release Date Revealed

Developer and publisher Mithril Interactive revealed the Early Access release date for its upcoming action RPG Dungeonborne. The title will come to Steam Early Access on July 18, 2024. This reveal came with the release of new trailer, viewable below, that features cinematics and shows snippets of gameplay.

The company announced that major updates have been implemented with the Early Access version based on the recent playtests. These updates include balance adjustments for classes and weapons, itemization improvements, and the addition of a new South America server region. A new multi-skill system granting new active skills to Fighter, Death Knight, Rogue, Cryomancer, and Priest classes is planned for a future update.

Dungeonborne takes place in a dark fantasy world, where players are tasked with exploring dungeons via a first-person perspective solo or in co-op multiplayer online. The game is billed as a “punishing yet challenging” PvPvE, with the developer citing titles such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, World of Warcraft, and For Honor as inspirations. Its Early Access version will feature eight classes for the player to choose from, each with its own abilities and playstyle.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
