New Arc Line Getting First Major Early Access Update This Month
Fulqrum Publishing and Dreamate announced that the first major Early Access update to cRPG New Arc Line will release on July 17, 2025. The “Smoke & Mirrors” update adds dwarves as a playable race alongside two new classes: the Hellfire Mage and the Steam Mechanic. It also adds a new “Step Behind the Curtain” questline, which takes players to a new location, the Sacred Tree.
In New Arc Line, dwarves are natural crafters and have a deep bond with stone, steel, and the arcane. The Hellfire Mage and the Steam Mechanic classes are currently exclusive to dwarf characters, but will become available to others through future updates. The Hellfire Mage is a destructive arcane class that makes use of dark, burning energies to invoke flames and summon demonic forces. In addition, it uses heavy maces, morning stars, and other such weapons to back up its arcane powers with physical strength. Steam Mechanics are built around inventions and mix engines with willpower. They use steam-powered gear to enhance their bodies, eventually assembling full steam-driven exoskeletons.
New Arc Line is currently available as an Early Access title on PC via Steam, GOG.com, and the Epic Games Store, with a full release planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players control a new customised arrival in New Arc, dubbed “The Shining City of Progress”, as they search for a cure to a fatal disease afflicting their family. Gender, background, and appearance options will affect how characters will react to them, with players also able to recruit a variety of party members and build relationships with them, including romance options.
