All Humble Games Staff Laid Off

Parent company Ziff Davis has laid off all 36 staff members at publisher Humble Games. Although billed by Ziff Davis — which is largely focused on digital media and owns various outlets including IGN and the recently-purchased Eurogamer — as a “restructuring”, none of the publisher’s staff are being retained and all existing projects are set to be handled by a third-party consultancy.

Humble Games was established in 2016 as a spin-off to the Humble Bundle storefront, which is unaffected by the layoffs, with a focus on indie titles. Games published by Humble Games include Slay the Spire, Ikenfell, Temtem, and Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical, with Wizard of Legend 2 one of its planned future releases.
