Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader’s First DLC Revealed

Developer and publisher Owlcat Games revealed the first DLC expansion for its cRPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. The DLC, titled Void Shadows, will be available for all of the game’s platforms on August 8, 2024. It features a new storyline estimated at fifteen hours long that comes with a new companion, new crew members, new enemies, new locations, and new features. This reveal came with the announcement that Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is now fully supported on Steam Deck.

Void Shadows will see players facing a new threat originating from their own voidships: the Genestealer Cult. This xeno cult aims to control the player’s crew by infecting them with their genetic code. Dealing with the Genestealer Cult will be the opportunity to meet the new companion Kibellah, a Death Cult Assassin, who is a potential love interest.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader sees players leading a ship of personnel as they explore the dangerous Koronus Expanse, making decisions that will have ripple effects throughout the universe. The title is now available on PC (Steam, GOG.com and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. All digital editions of the game are currently discounted by 30% as part of the Warhammer Skulls Sale, while the Collector’s Edition is still currently available on the game’s website.
