Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Beta Demo Adds Story Mode

Level-5 has released its story mode update for the Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road open beta on Nintendo Switch. The update lets players check out the first chapter of the game’s story mode. The story mode follows new protagonist Destin Billows, who starts out the game wishing for a world without football. The mode includes a new encounter system where players settle disagreements while exploring in turn-based combat. In addition, the update introduces various enhancements and adjustments to the existing gameplay systems and Competition Mode. The beta is planned to be available until June 28, 2024.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road acts as a reboot for the series and will feature two main modes: Story Mode and Competition Mode. Story Mode tells a new story following Destin Billows and other protagonist Harper Evans, a soccer star standing at the top of the world. Meanwhile, Competition Mode sees players able to form a team from the over 4,500 players that appeared across the series as they take the Inazuma V Caravan across time, battling teams from the past. The game is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
