Empyre: Earls of the Deep Earth Gets Release Date

Indie developer Coin Operated Games has announced Neo-Victorian RPG Empyre: Earls of the Deep Earth will be released for PC via Steam on March 12, 2024. The game is a top-down isometric RPG taking place in an alternative China in 1899. It follows the story of an amnesiac who is on the hunt for the mysterious Elias, the person believed to be responsible for their memory loss. Players must journey through countryside villages and hidden underground passages for clues to their hidden origins and restore light to a shadowy empire in the process.

To help with the authenticity of the game’s portrayal of Chinese culture and affairs, Coin Operated Games hired the services of Stefano Tsai, who has worked as a CG artist for Thor: Love and Thunder. He had the following to say: It was great fun working with Coin Operated Games to make their version of China come to life. They were very interested in making sure that certain aspects were just right.” Empyre: Earls of the Deep Earth is set to be the final game in the series.

I have been gaming since I received the Sega Master System as a young child, which was the first console I ever owned (Yes, I am that old). The game that got me into RPGs was Final Fantasy VIII, a game that I still adore to this day. My favorite RPG of all time, however, is Shadow Hearts on the PS2. I do have many other interests outside of gaming as well, such as watching old-school wrestling, Reading books, 80s movies.... or anything 80s related as a matter of fact.
