Zombie Fun Run Kickstarter Campaign Underway

Indie developer Zeboyd Games Entertainment has launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for its turn-based comedy Zombie Fun Run. The funding goal is $15,000, with the game planned to release on Steam with a current estimated delivery time of late 2024.

With Zombie Fun Run, Zeboyd Games (previously known for Cosmic Star Heroine, This Way Madness Lies, and Cthulhu Saves the World) proposes a story taking place in a world plagued by a zombie infestation. To face this threat, the player controls a robot named Ira and its various allies. Studio lead Robert Boyd promises a “light-hearted and funny” experience, demonstrated by its cartoonish characters and accompanying profiles.

The turn-based combat isn’t about defeating all enemies. Instead, Ira and other party members — who share a single HP bar — must primarily run from the hordes of zombies. While running for their lives, they have the possibility to either attack their pursuers or defend themselves. Run Points, allowing to move more quickly, can also be expended. Finding the right balance between these different options options will be essential for reaching the finishing line.

The crowdfunding campaign for Zombie Fun Run is set to last until February 23, 2024. Backers who pledge at least $10 will receive a digital copy of the game.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly become obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPG. At the time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as more as gameplay. Now, I am, writing about them, especially my favorite ones, the JRPG!
