Arashi: Castles of Sin – Final Cut Releasing in December

Skydance Interactive announced that Endeavor One’s VR action adventure RPG Arashi: Castles of Sin – Final Cut will release on December 6, 2023. The new version of the stealth-based title set in feudal Japan will be available on PlayStation VR2, PCVR, Meta Quest 2, and Meta Quest 3.

Arashi: Castles of Sin, which originally released for PlayStation VR in 2021, puts players in the role of assassin Kenshiro, who is tasked with defeating the Six Oni of Iga, leaders of a bandit group plaguing Japan. Kenshiro is joined by loyal canine companion Haru as he infiltrates castles using a variety of tools and abilities in order to face off against each Oni.

Players are able to traverse and scout ahead, using tools such as a grappling hook to move across rooftops or jitsu to detect enemies, while turning out lights or hiding in long grass to conceal themselves. Haru can distract or attack enemies as Kenshiro takes out potential witnesses that might alert foes to his presence. If enemies become alerted, players will need to vanquish all of them before moving to the next mission. Tools and weapons available include swords, a bow, a blowgun, shuriken, grenades, and a flintlock.

The Final Cut version features a visual overhaul, as well as gameplay, balance, and UI adjustments. The game also includes multiple comfort options such as snap turning.
