Xuan-Yuan Sword: Mists Beyond the Mountains Heading to Switch

Gamera Games and Softstar Entertainment announced a Nintendo Switch release for Xuan-Yuan Sword: Mists Beyond the Mountains. The turn-based RPG — a remaster of 1999 title Xuan-Yuan Sword III — will be available on the console in Q4 2023, supporting English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese language options.

Part of the long-running Taiwanese RPG series and released on PC via Steam in July, Xuan-Yuan Sword: Mists Beyond the Mountains is set in the 8th century CE, taking players from Venice through the Middle East to China. It follows Frankish Knight Septem, who is tasked by Pepin III to seek out the Invincible Arts of War. His journey takes him through multiple historical events as the game blends history with Chinese and western mythology.
