Sea of Stars Demo Available on PS4, PS5

Sabotage Studio has released a new demo for its turn-based RPG Sea of Stars on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The demo follows previous demos released on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, and features some ares from the main game. The developer states that it does not reveal any major spoilers, though gives some contextual story hints, and is designed to focus on the gameplay systems, combat, and dungeon-crawling elements. In a blog post, it provided a few details about the game’s traversal systems and design.

Sabotage Studio also announced that Sea of Stars will be available at launch as part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, which is available to all PlayStation Plus members on the Extra and Premium tiers. The game is planned to launch for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on August 29, 2023. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.

Sea of Stars follows two Children of the Solstice: the Lunar Monk Valere and the Solar Blade Dancer Zale as they combine their powers to fight the evil creations of the alchemist known as the Fleshmancer. It features turn-based combat and a freely traversible world letting players swim, climb, vault, and more. It also includes musical contributions from composer Yasunori Mitsuda.
