DANGEN Entertainment Announces RoadOut, Pry Into the Void

Publisher DANGEN Entertainment announced that it is publishing two upcoming RPGs: RoadOut and Pry Into the Void. RoadOut is a post-apocalyptic adventure RPG from Rastrolabs combining dungeon exploration and racing mechanics, while Ernest Placido’s Pry Into the Void is a bleak turn-based monster-taming RPG with horror elements.

RoadOut puts players in the role of Claire, a mercenary who deals in delivery, sabotage, and assassination contracts. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world known as the Dead Zone and sees Claire exploring the world in her car before venturing into dungeons on foot. It features twin-stick style combat, while puzzles utilise 2D sprites in rotatable 3D locations. There are also a variety of races available across ten different tracks with different modes. RoadOut is planned to release in 2024 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

Pry Into the Void is the first entry in a planned series of titles dubbed Retched Garden and lists Shin Megami Tensei, Off, Yume Nikki, and Omori as inspirations. The game follows Josef, a young man whose fear of the outside world means he hasn’t left his apartment in eight years. However, he finds himself forced to enter a realm known as the Void, home to monsters representing different facets of humanity

The game features a turn-based combat system where exploiting enemy weaknesses and utilising passive skills play key roles. Once players have uncovered monster weaknesses, they become able to pry into their hearts and converse with their souls. This leads to branching events where players may be able to recruit them as allies. Pry Into the Void, which underwent a successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign in 2022, is planned to release on PC in 2024, with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch to follow after.
