Persona 5 Tactica, Persona 3 Reload Announced

Editor’s Note — Atlus announcements during the previous Xbox Game Showcase held a “console platform announcement exclusivity” period and were later announced for other platforms. Our expectation is that the same applies here and that the games will likely be confirmed for other consoles in the coming days.

During the Xbox Games Showcase, Atlus announced two new Persona titles: Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload. Persona 5 Tactica is a new spin-off to Persona 5, and will feature a new adventure involving Phantom Thieves of Hearts. Its story sees the Phantom Thieves transported to another world, where they team up with a revolutionary called Erina to fight the oppressive Legionnaires. The game will use a tactical combat system incorporating many of Persona 5’s combat elements, including the Baton Pass and Persona skills, with up to three party members in at any one time. Persona 5 Tactica is currently announced for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and will release on November 17, 2023.

Persona 3 Reload is a remake of PlayStation 2 title Persona 3. No details have been revealed regarding potential changes or new features outside of its revamped graphics and UI, though it appears that Reload will not include the female protagonist added in the previous Persona 3 Portable remake. Persona 3 Reload is currently announced for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and will release in early 2024. The game will also have a new voice-over cast with the following characters revealed:

  • Aigis – Dawn Bennett
  • Akihiko Sanada – Alejandro Saab
  • Fuuka Yamagishi – Suzie Yeung
  • Junpei Iori – Zeno Robinson
  • Ken Amada – Justine Lee
  • Mitsuru Kirijo – Allegra Clark
  • Protagonist – Aleks Le
  • Shinjiro Aragaki – Justice Slocum
  • Yukari Takeba – Heather Gonzalez
